About the Group
Led by Chandana Wickramasinghe, The Dancers' Guild has redefined Sri Lankan dance over the past two decades. Founded in 1998, the guild boasts nearly 40 professional dancers and has trained over 3000 students across Sri Lanka. Their recent shows, "Salamba" and "Kanya," have showcased a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance forms. With an extensive presence in 74 countries and performances at iconic venues like Saddlers' Wells Theatre, their dynamic style has garnered international acclaim.
Acknowledged with the Lux Award for Best Dance Choreographer and the Brisla Arts and Media award, he has left an indelible mark on the dance landscape. With a mission to blend tradition and modernity, The Dancers' Guild aims to captivate audiences worldwide through their captivating performances and rhythmic expressions.
